I didn’t choose this journey.

LIFE BROUGHT ME HERE.

When my daughter Keerthi fell sick, I entered a world no parent prepares for—hospital corridors, unspoken fears, endless nights of holding her hand and pretending I wasn’t scared.

It was in those moments that I discovered something unexpected: resilience isn’t loud or unshakable. It’s quiet, tender, and sometimes as small as taking one deep breath when everything feels too heavy.

i AM

SRILAKSHMI KOVVALI

The voice behind Healing Mom.

I am not here to give you polished theories or generic parenting tips. I am here because I’ve lived the chaos, the guilt, and the exhaustion. And I’ve also lived the small victories: the smile after tears, the joy of a shared giggle, the relief of finding calm in one breath.

Through Healing Mom,
I bring together two things:

My Lived Story

I share my lived experience of parenting through illness—the fear, exhaustion, love, and quiet courage—so parents feel understood, not advised from distance, alone, or judged.

My Vision for Parents

My vision is a gentle space where parents feel seen, heard, and supported—finding clarity, resilience, and strength to continue caring with honesty and compassion daily.

Who Healing Mom is for

Healing Mom is for parents who feel like they must hold everything together while their world is falling apart.

This space holds out a hand to you if you see yourself here...

Parenting through
serious illness

You know the hospital corridors, the sleepless nights, the way hope and fear collide in the same breath. This space is here to steady you when everything feels uncertain.

Mothers carrying
invisible weight

You smile, you show up, you hold your child—but inside, guilt and exhaustion follow you everywhere. Here, you’ll find reminders that you are more than your breaking point.

Fathers with
silent strength

You bear responsibility quietly, rarely sharing the weight you carry. Healing Mom speaks to you too—with practical, compassionate guidance that honors your strength and your silence.

Parents seeking
deeper resilience

You may not be facing illness, but you want to raise your child with love, connection, and emotional strength. This space gives you tools to anchor both your child and yourself.

HOW I UNDERSTAND

PARENTING

Over time, my understanding of parenting changed — not through theory, but through lived experience. What helped me stay present for my child came down to three simple, human realities that kept returning, again and again.

MY MIND

When fear took over, I learned to slow my thoughts, create quiet, and seek clarity. A steadier mind helped me respond calmly, even in uncertainty.

MY EMOTIONS

I faced guilt, anger, grief, and helplessness. When I acknowledged these emotions without shame, they softened, allowing deeper connection with my child and myself.

PRACTICE

Resilience grew through small, repeatable routines and gentle rituals. These daily practices didn’t remove pain, but they helped me stay grounded and present.

MY MISSION

Looking ahead...

My mission is to build Healing Mom into a steady, compassionate space where parents find emotional anchoring, practical guidance, and reassurance during difficult seasons. Over time, I aim to deepen this work through thoughtful one-on-one support, workshops, and resources that help parents navigate uncertainty with resilience, honesty, and care.

If you are reading this, chances are you are carrying a heavy load. Maybe you haven’t said it out loud, but I want you to hear it here: you are not failing. You are not weak. You are human. This space is my hand reaching back.

Take what you need—whether it’s a story, a ritual, or simply a reminder that someone else understands.

And I am here—to listen, and to stand with you.
